Chronic Headache

4% have chronic headache. 12-15% have migraines. 24% of of females in their 30s have migraines.

Chronic Fatigue (Coming 2025)

8% have chronic fatigue. 20% present to GPs with fatigue. 15-90% of cancer patients have fatigue.

Insomnia

10% have clinical insomnia. 40% have insomnia symptoms. 80% are unsatisfied with their sleep.

Lower Back Pain

10% have lower back pain including 40% of office workers. 80% of people will have lower back disorders in their lifetime.

Post-Concussion Syndrome

200,000 concussions annually in Canada. About 25% will have prolonged symptoms.

High Blood Pressure (Hypertension)

25% of adults have hypertension, 50% are undiagnosed. 20% of pre-hypertension. Only 16% have adequate control.

Institute for Behavioural & Functional Medicine (IBFM) provides virtual CBT, group counselling, mindfulness, and other therapy-based treatments from licensed MDs, occupational therapists, and psychotherapists to support those suffering from insomnia, headaches, fatigue, hypertension, lower back pain and post-concussion syndrome who don’t want to rely on medication or solely on medication.
