Energy Management (OHIP-Funded)
The secret of getting ahead is getting started. The secret of getting started is breaking down complex overwhelming tasks into small manageable tasks, and then starting on the first ones.
-Mark Twain
Fatigue is a common complaint in primary care. Alas, no medical underlying cause can be found in up to half of the patients. Chronic fatigue negatively impacts work performance, social relationships, mood, physical performance and quality of life. The complexity of addressing fatigue lies in the fact that many factors come into play.
Our energy management program uses cognitive and behavioural modifications to address fatigue factors. Eliminating fatigue is not the goal of this program; it is rather to help patients attain control over their fatigue symptoms by learning how to effectively save and spend their energy. In these group sessions, you will develop the tools and acquire the skills to break the vicious cycle of fatigue, reach your goals and improve your quality of life.
Duration: 10 weeks. 45-minute sessions/per week online over OTN
