Emily graduated from the University of Toronto with an Honours degree in Kinesiology and is currently finishing a post-graduate certificate in Brain Disorders Management at Mohawk College. She has always been an active and highly engaged student, involved in a multitude of extracurriculars including sports, student life and equity-related work. From her personal concussion experience as an athlete and witnessing friends struggle in their recovery, she developed a strong passion for better understanding the brain, concussion rehabilitation and helping others in their recovery. In her work, Emily strives to increase accessibility and diminish barriers in healthcare and surrounding spaces. She values an individual-specific approach to concussion rehabilitation and adapting treatment plans to fit a person’s unique lived experiences, goals and abilities.
